MEET THE CHEF
Chef Luis J. Negrón was born and raised in Ponce, Puerto Rico and started his culinary career working at his father’s hotel. After a three-year stint, Luis left home to pursue a degree from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale in Florida. After graduating Luis worked in three cafes in South Florida (Las Olas, Casablanca & Churchill’s Fine Dining/Sage Cafe) before moving to NYC to work at Patria Restaurant (3-Star restaurant owned by Celebrity Chef Douglas Rodriguez). While in NYC Luis was introduced to many premier Chefs that helped to propel his knowledge of ingredients, flavors and invaluable techniques.
Following his time in NYC, Luis moved to the Caribbean working as a Chef and Consultant for numerous boutique hotels. In 2005, he was recruited by Loews Hotels in Orlando, where he focused on their vast portfolio of restaurants within the Universal Orlando properties.
